HERE are a few snaps from Wednesday when I was at the Menswear shows in London, still sporting my new favourite Superdry coat along with my usual day-time uniform - ie. lounge wear. Yesterday I finally got hold of the perfect pair of black sweatpants too, which means there's no sign of my lazy attire glamming up any time soon. Love anything with an elasticated waistband.
FLASH BACK to last year, when my dad tried his utmost hardest to convert me to Superdry - also known as his crack. Long story short, he failed. Badly. Now, fast forward to 2014 and it seems as though we've had some sort of style-related epiphany over here. A change of heart, perhaps. New year new me and all that.
Would you have guessed this was a Superdry coat? Probably not - and that's the beauty of it. It's the details that make me fall in love with a piece, not what's on the tag, and if it makes you feel good then it shouldn't matter whether it was a charity shop buy or a buy that turns you into a charity-case. Here's a new rule for the new year: Forget the label - if you love it, have it. If it looks as though you could slip it on, leave the shop and not have anyone notice, then that's probably what you should be doing. But please, do remember to pay.
