Being a vertically challenged girl with the blessing/curse of long legs and a short body, high waisted jeans have always been a bit of a no-go for me personally. I love nothing more than the idea of clothes covering my tum, but every single pair of high rise jeans that I've come across have only made me look bigger than I am, which - as you can probably tell from any picture of me on the internet - isn't that big to start off with.

I've been trying to get my hands on the perfect pair for months, but pretty much every style I've tried has resulted in me looking like the Michelin Man, and I don't know about you, but that's not the ideal look I'm going for right now.

Then once upon a time *queue romantic music* the Ark Reagan jeans fell on my doorstep and the Michelin Man look was no more! For the first time in my life, I feel like I can actually leave the house without feeling like I'm wearing a pair of jeans five sizes too small.  If you're like me and you haven't yet found the perfect Kylie-Jenner-esque pair then head on over to Ark

Have you ever had any issues when trying on high waisted jeans?

So yesterday was a bit of a blur. I don't remember how many naps I had in order to catch up on my 7am bedtime (thanks to living so far from London) but it was definitely in the double digits. I'll probably do a little post on what I got up to during my 24 hours in London, but for now I'll leave it at this. If you get a chance to watch 'They Came Together' 100% do it. I managed to see a preview of it on Wednesday night and I don't remember ever laughing so much at a film.

I digress - now to the outfit! There's hardly anything to say, as I'm sure you've seen me sporting these basics at some point since being on the old blog. I guess I like to think of this as my fancy (queue Iggy) attire. Less thug life, more 'I don't just spend my entire day in sweatpants' - even though we all know that's what the deal is most days. I'm almost certain that last sentence didn't make sense, but hopefully you get the jist. Basically, all hail the basics. Now it's time to catch up on some work.
