Living in the countryside often results in a series of preconceived notions:
a) I surf every day of my life
b) I live on a farm and milking cows is my favourite thing
c) I'm a festival junkie
Unfortunately, none of the above are exactly true. I've never surfed, I had an irrational fear of cows up until recently and I hate sleeping in tents and peeing in bushes. Sorry to dissappoint. Instead, for me festival season is all about spending as much time as possible in the open air (but still retiring to my own bedroom after dark) with my friends, and documenting the hell out of it. I've kind of become a polaroid-addict in recent months after discovering the joy of printing out my own Instagram photos with Printic, but my gadget-award goes to my new Instax Mini camera from FujiFilm. In just a few clicks I'm able to snap anything around me (including my outfits, apparently) and have a physical copy in my hands in seconds. Think Instagram but in real life.
In terms of my festival get-up, I like to keep it fairly simple, just like the rest of my wardrobe choices. You won't be seeing me in a bindi or bum-showing hot pants any time soon, but you can expect a lot more leg and a lot less leather. Because no matter how much I love it, sweltering in sticky material is never a good look, even on me.
