How to style the Dahlia dungarees

Hello! And welcome to my first installment of my little 'how to style dungarees' saga. A few days ago I received this little number from Dahlia with the challenge to dress it up in three different ways - first up, I'm keeping it simple with just a pair of sliders and a plain white vest poking through (with some sneaky thermal leggings underneath too..obviously). I'm pretty sure this piece is going to be my go-to outfit when I'm in a rush - you can just slip it on and run out the door. Might want to chuck some shoes on before you head out though..

Let me know how you'd style these dungarees in the comments below!

PS! I'm doing a Google Hangout with beauty brand Darphin this Friday and I'd love for you to get involved! Head on over to the event here or send over your beauty questions using this link!

10 things I love about summer

10 things I love about summer

When you live in the UK summer comes and goes in what seems like a blink of an eye. One minute you're out on the streets wearing next to nothing, next you're out in (practically) head to toe leather with goosebumps all over. Does this mean summer is officially over? Probably not - all Brits know that predicting the weather is impossible - but I've decided to round up a few of my favourite thing that happen in the hotter months. Consider it a rain dance, but for sun, and with no dancing what so ever.

- Bottled tans take a back seat
- The days get longer (and warmer)
- BBQs are always happening
 - Market stalls are everywhere
- Everyone seems happier
- Ice cream is always a good idea
- Beach hair is no longer a myth
- There are more things to do
- Mornings becomes so much easier
- Fruit for breakfast, all day every day

DESPITE my undying love for summer (note: ice cream), putting together a remotely acceptable outfit on a hot day is something I really struggle with. One of the best things about living in England however, is the fact that even in the warmest months we still manage to get rainfall and cold gusts of wind - thankfully today was one of those days. To ‘celebrate’ this British down pour I’ve decided to throw on one of my best (or worst - you decide) looks and run a few errands before heading over to the boyfriends. First stop: picking up a new coffee table that I won on eBay for £13. Hashtag bargain.

These trainers are quickly becoming one of my favourite things that I own, and I’m often asked where they’re from when I’m out and about (Hummel, if you were wondering). My Adidas sneakers of choice have been sold out for so long now that I decided to try out these bad boys and they haven’t really left my feet since being back in Cornwall. Has anyone ever tried driving in Birkenstocks or platform wedges? It’s not the easiest - or probably safest - thing in the world. Stick with the trainers, like I always do these days..

Seems like I'm taking this happy-go-lucky picture thing to the extreme. Now, apparently I'm in hysterics every time a camera is pointed in my general direction. It might be the excitement of London Fashion Week settling in, but then again it's probably the fact that my leather(ette) wardrobe is now practically complete with a set of dungarees that I missed out on last season. Next up? Leather socks.
