Being a vertically challenged girl with the blessing/curse of long legs and a short body, high waisted jeans have always been a bit of a no-go for me personally. I love nothing more than the idea of clothes covering my tum, but every single pair of high rise jeans that I've come across have only made me look bigger than I am, which - as you can probably tell from any picture of me on the internet - isn't that big to start off with.

I've been trying to get my hands on the perfect pair for months, but pretty much every style I've tried has resulted in me looking like the Michelin Man, and I don't know about you, but that's not the ideal look I'm going for right now.

Then once upon a time *queue romantic music* the Ark Reagan jeans fell on my doorstep and the Michelin Man look was no more! For the first time in my life, I feel like I can actually leave the house without feeling like I'm wearing a pair of jeans five sizes too small.  If you're like me and you haven't yet found the perfect Kylie-Jenner-esque pair then head on over to Ark

Have you ever had any issues when trying on high waisted jeans?

My favourite autumn outfit

Hello ladies (and of course the odd gent that might find his way to my blog) - today I'm trying something a little different. After the amount of comments and compliments I got about my Iris and Ink sweater on Monday (ps. thank you!) I decided to keep it going with the colour and style up this jacket that I got the other day. It reminds me of a picnic blanket and that's exactly why I love it so much. As for the hat - that was just something I bought on a whim a few weeks back, and it's finally had it's blog debut! I'm pretty sure my head is ever so slightly too big for it, but it does keep the chill away from ye old scalp. Now all I need is some mittens and I am good to go! (Sidenote: that's never going to happen)..

How do you dress for Autumn/Winter?

Check coat from Lily Lulu (suuuper cheap)
Fedora hat from New Look (another colour here)
Leather trousers from Blank NYC (cheaper here)
Boots from Steve Madden (sold out but similar here)
