Flash Back Friday on a Saturday

Flash Back Friday
Flash Back Friday Outfit

Having my annual Macbook clear up and came across these pictures from a few months ago! I like to think of this sort of thing as my go-to outfit whenever I'm stuck for what to wear. And the best bit? I picked this coat up for a fiver. Oh yes.

Next tweed coat (last season but similar here)
H&M cami top (last year but also here)
Blank NYC leather trousers (budget version here)
Boutique 9 heels (sold out but cheaper here)
3.1 Phillip Lim clutch (another budget option here)

Why I'm all for the wide leg trend

Wide Leg Trousers Outfit

So happy that wide leg trousers have become a 'thing' in fashion again. We all know how I feel about elasticated waistbands and sweatpants, but a wide leg version? That takes comfort to a whole new level. I may or may not need to invest in 400 pairs of these bad boys.

Warehouse leather jacket (cheaper here)
H&M cami top (last year but also here)
Monki wide leg trousers (similar here)
Steve Madden ponyhair shoes (on sale!!)

Baggy and oversized - just how I like it

So today's look is a little oversized even for my standards (remember, you're talking to the girl that wears sweat pants at every given moment) but i decided to stray from anything remotely skin tight and instead go for some pieces that I haven't worn in months - if ever. I was sent this kimono from Monki during the summer as part of a festival package, but never really had any urge to wear it. Hello epiphany!? Kimonos are pretty much the comfiest thing ever. If sweatpants are my day-to-day PJs then a kimono jacket is my new version of a dressing gown to wear out and about. Oh dual purposes, how I love thee..

Black kimono from Monki (similar here)
Black cami from H&M (sold out but very similar here)
Black wide leg trousers from Forever 21 (again, similar here)
Arizona sandals from Birkenstock (or here)
Brown 'paper' bag from Marie Turnor (cheaper option here)

What it's like to survive without the internet

Surviving without the internet

Talk about first world problems - this week I've been in the midst of moving house (if I haven't already mentioned that enough times) so my connection to the digital world has been somewhat non-existent. I've said it once and I'll say it again - thank the lord for coffee shops with free wi-fi. I've potentially consumed more iced lattes in the past week than I have in my entire life, which says a lot. But despite the caffeine shakes and having to actually get dressed before leaving the house, I've really enjoyed working out of the house for once. Who would have thought there was a life outside of the internet? Maybe I'll make this venturing out ordeal a weekly tradition.

JUST a quickie today, as I'm up to my neck in deadlines right now. Today was just one of those days when I really can't wait for the summer. Beaches, beers and the boyf - just three of my (many) favourite things. I'm quite literally counting down the days. Just 70 more days to go and I am FREE! But until then, it's work work work. Happy Tuesday!
