Can someone please tell me how we're already in November? I'm so not ready for this weather (here's looking at you, storm Brian) and I'm definitely not ready for it being dark at 6pm. Thinking about it, I've always been a bit of a sun-chaser, and so as soon as it hit autumn here in theRead More
Despite displaying what seems like the majority of my life online, I consider myself to be an incredibly private person, only opening up on rare occasions to a select handful of people in my life. Over the past five years, Ollie has become one of those people, to the point where, admittedly, he probably knows me better than I know myself sometimes. I was never one to keep a diary as a teenager. I tried, but after a few weeks of gossiping about boys to a piece of paper I'd lose interest and - like a lot of my early relationships - give up. Five years in, and that's never happened with Ollie and I. In fact, he's become my most long running 'diary' to date - taking in everything I say (the good and the bad), all of the secrets, all of the over-spill and absorbing every last drop. Hopefully, he feels the same way too.
You see, despite sharing my all with him without a second thought, it's almost ironic that he may never know my feelings about us, and the five years we've spent together. Love is one of those things that even I struggle to put into words. Then again, true love rarely even needs an explaination. I've never been one for public displays of affection, but five years is a long time to spend with one single human, and so to celebrate our five years together I decided have our date engraved onto the Thomas Sabo 'Little Secret' bracelet - so that there's always a part of him with me. Cheesy, maybe? But hey, it'll be our little secret.

SHOP THE SWATCH SKINMESH
Time stops for no one, and - on good days - neither do I. Being a content creator I make sure I never leave the house without two key pieces of tech - my camera (for snapping Insta-worthy things on the go) and a watch on my wrist to keep me on time for meetings and events. I never know what each day might bring, whether I'm doing my thing in front of the camera, editing on the go or squeezing in a quick workout in between appointments, so I need something that acts a second skin to make sure I stick to my schedule - whatever that might be.
Enter the new Swatch SKIN watches - the latest addition to Swatch's ever-growing collection - that are designed to slot perfectly into your every day life thanks to their lightweight and minimalistic design. Inspired by movement and consisting of eleven
different designs from pastel silicone straps to stainless steel bracelets, the Swatch SKIN collection is suited to both men and women no matter what their style. I've always loved watches that look somewhat masculine - kind of as if I just slipped it off my boyfriend's wrist without him realising - so I opted for the SKIN Mesh style which literally goes with every look I create. Whenever I'm working the last thing I want is for my outfit and accessories to get in the way of what I'm doing. For me, freedom is everything with my job. I love being able to work on the go, whether I'm tapping away on my laptop in a local coffee shop or replying to emails as I hop on a flight to London. So when it comes to what I'm wearing I want everything to be practical and comfortable, but still super stylish as well. It'd be even better if it kept me on time for everything, but hey, we can't expect this thing to work miracles can we!?

My style changes on an almost daily basis. One day I'm in ripped jeans and leathers, the next I'm in my frilliest, floatiest dress I own, and then the next I'm wandering around my house in an old t-shirt and sweatpants that are seriously overdue a trip to the washing machine. Comfort is key - that's something that always remains a constant for me. I love dressing up, but I also love being able to just throw something on with a pair of boots and look somewhat put-together. And hey, if it just so happens to hide any lumps and bumps, that's a plus too. A current favourite of mine comes in at just £9 from Stylewise Direct, as it's casual, comfy, but still seriously on trend. I mean hey, if ripped jumper dresses are good enough for King Kylie, then they're definitely good enough for me. Pair them with biker boots for something seriously nonchalant or slip on some sock booties for something a little more glam. Wear it to bed, wake up, and go. I won't tell anyone.

If you've been a reader of my blog since the beginning you may remember the first ever outfit post I published - I know I do. It was one of the most blistery days of the year - a mild storm had swept Cornwall - and there I was standing on the edge of Portreath harbour in stilettos, attempting to look somewhat poised in front of my new boyfriend who convinced me to let him take my photo. I was wearing baggy leather trousers, a baseball tee and a bomber jacket - not my most sophisticated of ensembles - but I'll always remember that post fondly, as it featured the first item I had ever been gifted as a blogger: a Daniel Wellington watch. Years later, and it's safe to say a lot has changed - although a few things still remain: that not-so-new-anymore boyfriend that still shoots all of my outfit photos, and of course, my taste in watches. And so it's actually incredibly special for me to be able to share with you the brand new addition to the Daniel Wellington range (and my personal favourite) the Classic Petite - the brand's first 32mm watch with a mesh strap, and my new every day accessory.
As with all Daniel Wellington watches, the Classic Petite is customizable, and is available in a rose gold or silver mesh strap with either a white or black dial. I feel like as I've grown older I've really learnt to appreciate the beauty of a good time-teller. I've never been the sort of girl to stack bracelets, or layer up necklaces - I much prefer the practical over the pretty. But it's even more special when those two qualities combine to create a piece like the Classic Petit (even more so again when it's light on the purse strings). It's the finishing touch to every outfit - almost like that final mist of perfume before leaving the house. I slip it onto my wrist and my every day outfit feels complete, and I put together. There are very few loves like that that have lasted in my life, but as I said, a certain two still remain.
And so with that little love story of mine, I'm delighted to announce that I've been given a personal discount code 'COCOCHIC' to share with you all, giving you 15% off of everything on the Daniel Wellington website (including the new Classic Petite style!) as well as free worldwide shipping, right up until the 15th of May 2017. Because whilst money may not be able to buy you love in the form of a patient photographer boyfriend, it can buy you one of the new Classic Petites. Which by the way, won't leave it's laundry lying around all over the place.
