How to unwind after fashion month

Today marks the first fashion-free Sunday since Fashion Month began - not exactly a huge milestone to note down in your diaries but it has inspired me to piece together a little 'back to reality' guide to help all you fashion folk unwind. Not been a part of the festivities this season? Me either, but it's always fun to pamper yourself.

Have a lie in
It should be a worldwide rule that all Sundays should start with a late wake up call. Not only does it prep you for the week ahead - because let's face it, Monday's are never easy - but it's also the best thing for lack-lustre skin.

Create your own spa
Go all out for this one - candles, essential oils, relaxing music. It's almost as good as an actual spa but without the three digit price tag. Score.

Do not get dressed
Another Sunday rule that should exist in my books. If you don't have to leave the house, don't get dressed. if you do have to throw on some clothes, keep the footwear comfy. These Soak & Sleep slippers don't leave my feet.

Read a book
Or a magazine, or anything that takes your fancy! These days, most people spend their free time on the internet (guilty) which isn't always the most de-stressing thing on the planet. I like to take half an hour out of the day to get through whatever it is that I'm reading at the time. 

Do not get dressed
Another Sunday rule that should exist in my books. If you don't have to leave the house, don't get dressed - simple.

Do yoga
This is something I've been trying to get into lately, but I know so many people that sing its praises. The best part about it is the fact that you can do it in the comfort of your own home with all the information you need right at your fingertips (aka Google).

Drink tea
I'm pretty much guilty of doing this on an hourly basis, but I swear a good cup of tea is ten times better on a Sunday than any other day. Two sugars please.

Take a bath
My main regret about our current place? There's no bath. But every Sunday I used to have a long, long bath with essential oils and candles to make sure i'm completely calm and composed before the upcoming week. The best part about a bath is being able to multi-task whilst you're in there too. Apply a face mask, read a book..drink some tea!?
